Effective January 2021 I have been appointed as one of three members of the Appointing Commitee of the German Arbitration Institution (DIS). The Appointing Committee appoints arbitrators for arbitrations conducted under the Arbitration Rules of the DIS in case the parties fail to nominate an arbitrator of the party nominated arbitrators cannot agree on a Chair of the arbitral tribunal. Moreover, the Appointing Committee decides challenges of arbitrators.
